CAMP FIRE RECOVERY RESOURCES

In response to information requests we’ve received about Camp Fire aftermath resources, we have
compiled this resource list for you. Please contact the Nevada County Contractors’ Association should

  • DEBRIS CLEANUP AND RECOVERY
    Sign up to be on the CalRecycle contractors list. Email: FireDebrisContracts@calrecycle.ca.gov.
    Include: Company Name, Address, Type of Work, Primary Contact Email Address, Phone Number

     

  • DISASTER RECOVERY CENTER (DRC)
    The Disaster Recovery Center is open at the Chico Mall, 1982 E. 20th Street, in the old Sears location,
    9am-7pm daily.

    Local, state, and federal agencies, along with community organizations, have assembled to answer questions about disaster assistance. Residents will be able to access information about homeowner’s insurance, steps to rebuild, how to identify personal items, the status of utilities, community and social services, and getting new documents that may have burned in the fire, among other resources.

CONTRACTORS STATE LICENSE BOARD (CSLB):  WWW.CSLB.CA.GOV

Construction work $500 and over (material and labor) requires a licensed contractor.  Get all the specifics at the CSLB

website.

PUBLIC WORKS, DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS (DIR):  WWW.DIR.CA.GOV

Publicly-funded work is different from private work.  Know the rules and costs before you bid.
