NCCA-Political Action Committee Makes Endorsements 2020 For Grass Valley City Council.

The Nevada County Contractors’ Association Political Action committee is pleased to announce that it has endorsed Jan Arbuckle, Steven Conrad and Bob Branstrom for Grass Valley City Council.


NCCA-PAC Endorses Jan Arbuckle, Steven Conrad and Bob Branstrom for Grass Valley City Council 

Grass Valley is the economic hub of Western Nevada County and has remained strong and thriving through these difficult times. Jan, Bob and Steven will work to keep Grass Valley a thriving place to live and work. They will set policy and chart the course for the future of Grass Valley.


Grass Valley City Councilwoman Jan Arbuckle brings her years of her experience  to the City Council. Jan was the first woman to become the president of the League of Cities and during her tenure there has brought a focus on the issues facing rural cities. Jan's priorities are to bring broadband to Grass Valley, address the housing and homeless crises.


Bob Branstrom has volunteered all his life and loves the Community he retired to.Bob  has immersed himself in Grass Valley issues and has shown himself to be a collaborative person and a good listener. His career was spent problem solving. The skills and  knowledge he gained  while  volunteering  and from his career will serve him well on City Council.

Steven Conrad grew up in Grass Valley and returned after attending college. He owns a small business in Grass Valley.  Steven is very invested in the Community and cares a lot about making the City a better place for young people to live and thrive. He would like to see more young people return to the community. He is collaborative and will work well as a team on the City Council. Check out Steven on his Facebook page:

NCCA Political Action Committee / Purpose

  • To promote and strive for the improvement of government by encouraging and stimulating the construction industry and their associations and others to take a more active and effective part in governmental affairs

  • To assist the construction industry, their associates, personnel, and others in organizing themselves for more effective political action and for carrying out their other civic responsibilities.

  • To encourage maximum participation in political affairs of other organizations having concerns common to the construction industry.To support local candidates for election to City and County for political offices, to the local elected boards, and other public offices.

  • To work for the appointment of objective-minded individuals to local Boards and Commissions.

  • To support legislative matters that would be of concern to the construction industry.

  • To support the activities of other organizations who support the activities of other organizations who support the goals of the construction industry.

  • To raise funds for the support of these objective

Voice of the Industry

Nevada County Contractors' Association members become part of a  respected advocate. NCCA-PAC is committed to build strong relationships at the local government level that benefit our members, our industry, and most importantly our community. We collaborate with others in developing data driven policy solutions that bolster our economy. Our focus is on building consensus around solution-oriented proposals. NCCA-PAC meets with local government elected officials and senior-level staff to discuss policy issues affecting the industry and to advocate for our policy positions.

Without NCCA-PAC, decisions affecting the future of the industry will be influenced by other industries and voluntary contributions of our membership that NCCA-PAC can help preserve a positive political climate for the building and development industry in Nevada County.
